The California Municipal Utilities Association (CMUA) selected GreatBlue Research as its new service provider for statewide customer surveying and oversampling.
GreatBlue is a full-service market research firm well known by the community-owned utility sector for its partnership with Hometown Connections, Inc., for its work with the American Public Power Association, and for its support of many electric utility and water agency clients across the United States.
In this new partnership, GreatBlue will biennially conduct three separate statewide surveys to gather data on the opinions and sentiment of California residential electric customers, residential water customers, and businesses/key account customers. These surveys have been completed on behalf of participating CMUA members for the past two decades.
In summer 2022, GreatBlue will conduct one statewide opinion survey — a Businesses/Key Account Customers survey — for CMUA members that choose to participate on a fee-for-service basis. In 2023, two statewide surveys will be conducted: a Residential Electric Customers survey and a Residential Water Customers survey. In addition to these statewide surveys, individual CMUA members also are invited to utilize GreatBlue Research for oversampling.
