Annette DuPont-Ewing is a seasoned leader in the public power sector, currently serving as the Director of Marketing for Hometown Connections, Inc. (HCI). Since joining the team in January 2025, Annette has been a driving force in promoting excellence, innovation, and sustainability for community-owned utilities. Annette has been instrumental in modernizing HCI’s outreach. Annette’s professional foundation is rooted in over three decades of high-level service in energy and utility management. Prior to joining Hometown Connections, she served for 16 years as the Executive Director for Kentucky’s statewide public utility association. Her career also includes pivotal roles as Special Energy Advisor to the Governor, Senior VP for Greater Louisville, Inc., and National Policy Advisor for the Council of State Governments. This deep industry knowledge is further bolstered by an 11-year tenure with the U.S. Department of Energy, giving Annette a unique perspective on the intersection of federal policy and local utility operations. Annette has a prestigious academic background, holding a Master’s in Public Administration, a Master’s in International Trade, as well as a BS in Animal Science, and a BS in Zoology.
