
A highly-recognized specialist in utility change management, Ms. Swanson has spent the last 15 years developing creative solutions to complex problems for utilities in the areas of leadership, strategy, operational effectiveness, customer service, and compliance. Her accomplishments include leading organizational change initiatives, stakeholder engagements, Smart City initiatives, multi-million-dollar projects in information technology and advanced utility technologies, integrated business planning and working with legal and regulatory professionals to change legislation and build new utilities programs. Her areas of expertise include program development, project management, process development and redesign, customer service, strategic planning, governance, enterprise risk management and compliance.
Previously, Ms. Swanson was the Director, Corporate Services and Chief Risk & Compliance Officer at LCEC, an electric cooperative in North Fort Myers, Florida, and a Utilities Operations Consultant. Prior to that, she worked for Colorado Springs Utilities, a four-service provider, for 13 years and held senior leadership positions. In these previous roles, she built and led teams specializing in privacy and information security, compliance, enterprise risk management, information technology, safety, physical security, internal audit, key accounts, human resources, advanced utility technologies, project management, and business analysis.
